Freek van Kempen, professionally known as Hard Driver, is a Dutch DJ, producer and songwriter in the hardstyle scene. Born in the Netherlands on April 19, 1988, he has established himself as one of the most respected producers within the genre, known for combining hard-hitting energy with melodic elements. Freek discovered his passion for music at a young age. By the age of eleven he was already experimenting with DJ equipment in his bedroom, and by fourteen he had started producing his own music while exploring different electronic styles. Before focusing fully on Hard Driver, he released music under the alias Fenix and was involved in several projects within the harder dance spectrum. Over time he refined his sound and transitioned into hardstyle, developing the powerful yet melodic style that would define the Hard Driver project. Since then, Hard Driver has become a prominent name in the global hard dance scene. His music has been featured on major stages and festivals such as Tomorrowland, Defqon.1, Reverze, Intents Festival and Mysteryland, performing for audiences around the world. Alongside an extensive catalogue of releases and multiple albums including #NOSLEEP, Point Break and Chemistry, Freek continues to push the boundaries of modern hardstyle through both his productions and collaborations with leading artists in the scene.
