Josua Peter

Josua Peter, born in 1995, is a singer songwriter whose music is rooted in honesty and emotional depth. Raised between South African traditions and the down to earth culture of North Holland, he spent years searching for his own identity and sound. That personal journey forms the foundation of his work, resulting in songs that are unfiltered, sincere and straight from the heart. Inspired by artists such as Ray LaMontagne, Two Gallants and Bon Iver, Josua combines intimate storytelling with an impressive four octave vocal range. His music invites listeners to let go of expectations and embrace who they truly are.

His debut single was named 3FM Megahit by NPO 3FM, marking a major breakthrough after years of refining his artistic direction. The track explores vulnerability and self acceptance, themes that closely reflect his own experience of moving between the Netherlands and South Africa and often feeling caught between two worlds. Music became the place where he felt fully at home. During his studies at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, Josua found the confidence to be completely himself both on stage and in his songwriting. This authenticity is clearly present in his single Bones, a deeply personal song about self love and reclaiming inner strength. What begins as an intimate confession grows into a powerful expression of resilience and hope.

Josua has also established himself as a compelling live performer, captivating audiences in the 3FM Live Box and at the 40th edition of Eurosonic Noorderslag. With a 3FM Megahit to his name and a standout performance at Noorderslag, Josua Peter positions himself as one of the most promising new voices of his generation.
